Specify this armoured LSZH Cat5E range for fixed network routes requiring additional mechanical protection. Four PE-insulated copper pairs sit inside an LSZH inner sheath, followed by copper wire braid, steel wire braid or steel wire armour and an LSZH outer sheath. U/UTP, F/UTP and SF/UTP data-core options allow screening and armour to be selected separately.

24 AWG solid bare copper conductors in four twisted pairs.
CWB, SWB and SWA armour options, each offered with three data-core screen arrangements.
LSZH inner sheath and thermoplastic LSZH LTS3 outer sheath.
State both the data-core screen type and the armour type in the cable schedule. Their combination determines diameter and weight, which range from 7.68 to 9.76 mm and 98 to 221 kg/km in the table. Select glands and termination hardware for the exact construction; specify environmental sheath options separately.
What do CWB, SWB and SWA mean?
Copper wire braid, steel wire braid and steel wire armour respectively.
Can an armoured version still be designated U/UTP?
Yes. U/UTP describes the unshielded data-core assembly. The separate armour layer is outside the inner sheath.
Are all nine constructions the same size?
No. The screen and armour combination changes the overall diameter and nominal weight; each combination has its own table row.
Which sheath materials surround the armour?
A thermoplastic LSZH inner sheath and an LSZH outer sheath surround it.
Which bend limit applies while laying the cable?
The listed installation limit is eight times the overall diameter; the fixed-state limit is four times the diameter.
