APPLICATION

BURY CABLE RE-2Y(St)H PiMF multipair cable connects instruments and control equipment in industrial process facilities. Copper conductors with PE insulation, individual and overall aluminium/polyester screens and an unarmoured LSZH outer sheath support fixed signal wiring. Use protected indoor routes, including suitable wet or damp locations. Individually screened pairs keep each signal circuit organised within the common cable assembly. The LSZH sheath suits projects specifying low smoke and halogen free materials.

KEY FEATURES

  • PE insulation with individually screened twisted pairs and an overall foil screen.

  • Unarmoured construction with an LTS3 LSZH outer sheath; thermosetting sheath options are listed in the technical description.

  • Electrical and construction tables cover 0.5-1.5 mm² conductor sections, with original dimensions and weights retained.

SELECTION NOTES

  • Specify pair count, conductor size and construction, circuit voltage, cable length and termination arrangement.

  • Coordinate screen bonding and mechanical route protection with the installation design. Use a minimum bending radius of 7.5 times overall diameter.

  • Choose black or blue sheath identification for the specified system. Blue identification is coordinated with the complete intrinsically safe circuit design; environmental sheath options form part of the order specification.

FAQ

What is RE-2Y(St)H PiMF cable used for?

It connects instruments and control equipment on fixed industrial signal routes using a multipair copper cable with PE insulation and an LSZH sheath.

How are the conductors arranged?

Two insulated conductors form each twisted pair, with numbered white cores supporting pair identification.

Which screening construction is used?

PiMF construction uses individual pair screens together with an overall aluminium/polyester screen and tinned copper drain wires.

What does the LSZH sheath provide?

The low smoke zero halogen sheath is selected where reduced smoke and corrosive combustion gases are part of the installation specification.

How is the cable selected for installation?

Match the pair count, conductor cross-section, circuit voltage and route conditions. Include cable length, screen termination, sheath colour and packing in the order.
