For fixed Ethernet routes requiring a protective armour layer, this Cat5E range combines solid copper pairs with an LSZH inner sheath, metallic armour and a PVC outer sheath. Copper braid, steel braid and steel wire armour are offered with U/UTP, F/UTP or SF/UTP data cores. The separate construction rows help match the cable to the route and termination space.

Four pairs of 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors with PE insulation.
Black LSZH inner sheath beneath CWB, SWB or SWA armour.
Thermoplastic PVC outer sheath and a listed single-cable flame-test reference.
Specify the screen and armour together. Screening describes the data core; armour provides a separate layer of mechanical protection. The complete cable has a PVC outer sheath, so use the related LSZH armoured range where a low-smoke zero-halogen outer sheath is required.
Does the LSZH inner sheath make this a fully LSZH construction?
The outer sheath specified here is PVC. The inner and outer sheath materials should be stated separately in the project schedule.
Which armour types can be selected?
Copper wire braid, steel wire braid or steel wire armour.
What data-core screen options are offered?
U/UTP, F/UTP and SF/UTP, with separate construction rows for each armour type.
How much does overall diameter vary?
The listed nominal diameters range from 7.68 to 9.76 mm, depending on screen and armour selection.
Is the listed flame test a circuit-integrity test?
BS EN 60332-1-2 addresses flame propagation on a single cable. Fire-resistant circuit-integrity requirements belong to a separate cable specification.
