This fire-resistant Cat5E range is intended for project specifications that call for a circuit-integrity cable construction alongside four-pair data cabling. Solid copper conductors use HDPE+SR insulation, with an overall mica-glass tape barrier and LSZH outer sheath. U/UTP, F/UTP and SF/UTP versions provide a choice of screen arrangement. The fire-performance schedule lists IEC 60331-23, with BS 6387 CWZ as an optional requirement.

Four 24 AWG solid-copper pairs with HDPE+SR insulation.
Overall mica-glass tape fire barrier beneath the LSZH sheath.
Unshielded, foil-screened and foil-plus-braid-screened versions.
State the required circuit-integrity test, test duration and selected construction in the enquiry. Cable circuit-integrity testing does not establish the operating performance of a complete Ethernet network during fire. Select compatible terminations and supports as part of the project installation specification.
Where is the fire barrier located?
An overall mica-glass tape barrier surrounds the assembled cable core.
Is BS 6387 CWZ included on every version?
It is listed as an option and should be specified with the chosen construction.
Which outer sheath is specified?
Thermoplastic LSZH compound type LTS3 is the base sheath. Thermosetting LSZH types SW2–SW4 can be offered.
Do the three screen versions have the same diameter?
No. The listed nominal diameters are 8.0 mm for U/UTP, 9.3 mm for F/UTP and 9.6 mm for SF/UTP.
Is an armoured fire-resistant version available?
The related fire-resistant Cat5E armoured range offers CWB, SWB and SWA constructions.
