APPLICATION

Designed specifically for RS 485 data communication systems that require stable operation during emergencies such as fires. This series of cables combines low-capacitance insulation with multiple high-efficiency shielding structures to ensure high-speed, interference-free data transmission even in fire environments, guaranteeing uninterrupted critical communication links.

The product complies with the EIA/TIA 485 basic design standard and has obtained multiple international fire safety certifications: it features circuit integrity (IEC 60331-23/BS 6387 CWZ optional) and meets stringent performance requirements for flame retardancy (IEC 60332-1-2), bundle flame retardancy (IEC 60332-3-24), halogen-free (IEC 60754-1), non-corrosive gas emission (IEC 60754-2), and low smoke emission (IEC 61034-2).

The cable structure is diverse, covering various RS 485 bus cable types such as overall shielding, double overall shielding, and pair shielding plus overall shielding. The conductors are made of tinned copper strands, with insulation of foamed PE or foamed skin PE. The twisted pairs are designed with variable lay lengths to effectively reduce crosstalk. The entire series incorporates a built-in mica glass tape fire-resistant layer, and the outer sheath is made of low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant material (compliant with BS 7655). Optional features include UV resistance, oil and hydrocarbon resistance, and rodent/insect resistance.

Excellent electrical performance: characteristic impedance of 120Ω, operating temperature range of -20°C to +90°C, installation temperature range of -5°C to +60°C, minimum bending radius of 8 times the outer diameter, conductor-to-conductor capacitance ≤45 nF/km, conductor-to-shield capacitance ≤90 nF/km, and passing a 1000V withstand voltage test.

Suitable for applications with stringent requirements for communication reliability and fire safety, such as fire emergency systems, industrial automation, building automation, and transportation systems.
