APPLICATION

This Profibus L2 range serves fixed fieldbus connections on outdoor and industrial routes. The PE sheath version is intended for outdoor laying, while the PUR version addresses industrial installations. Both use a screened pair of solid bare copper conductors with foam-skin PE insulation.

KEY FEATURES

  • PE and PUR sheath versions for different installation environments.

  • Aluminium-lined foil and overall tinned copper braid screening.

  • Red and green AWG 22/1 cores; 150 ± 10 ohms impedance at 3–20 MHz.

SELECTION NOTES

Specify PE or PUR with the order so the sheath matches the intended route. Allow for the 8.0 ± 0.4 mm outer diameter when selecting connectors and supports. The laying bend radius is 15 times the overall diameter; underground routes have a separate Direct Burial construction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do the PE and PUR versions differ?

PE is the outdoor-laying option; PUR is the industrial option. The selected sheath material should be stated in the cable specification.

What screening is used?

An aluminium-lined polyester foil is combined with an overall tinned copper braid.

Is this a solid-conductor cable?

Yes. The construction specifies bare copper AWG 22/1 conductors for fixed installation.

What operating temperature range is listed?

The technical table gives an operating range from −40°C to +70°C.

How does the direct burial version differ?

The Direct Burial cable uses a PVC inner jacket and a PE outer jacket, with its own diameter, bend-radius and electrical data.
